Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the Imara app, website and coach web, provided by Terrigence Labs TODO: registered legal name, company number and registered address. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over, or have a parent's or guardian's permission. TODO: confirm minimum age
- Keep your sign-in details safe and your information accurate.
- You can delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account.
Training and your health
Imara isn't medical advice. It doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. Check with a doctor before starting a training or nutrition plan, especially if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant. Stop and get help if you feel pain, dizziness or chest discomfort.
Calories, recovery scores, readiness and similar figures are estimates. Food values are approximate. Exercise carries a risk of injury, and you train at your own risk, to the extent the law allows.
Coaches and gyms
Coaches and gyms on Imara are independent. They aren't our employees, and their services are provided by them, not by Terrigence Labs. When you hire a coach, your agreement for coaching is with that coach, under their client terms, which you sign in the app. A verified badge means we checked identity and qualifications at the time, and it isn't a guarantee of results.
Payments
- Prices are shown before you pay, in Kenyan shillings unless stated otherwise.
- Coaching, gym passes and physical goods can be paid by M-Pesa or card. Digital content in the iPhone app is sold through Apple in-app purchase, under Apple's terms.
- You'll get a receipt for every payment, and you can see your payment history in your account.
Refunds
- M-Pesa and card payments: to request a refund, email hello@terrigencelabs.com with your receipt. TODO: set the refund window and rules for coaching, day passes and goods
- App Store purchases: Apple handles these. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us the permission we need to store and show it to the people you share it with. Follow our community guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break them.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Imara: no unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, attempts to access other people's data, or interference with the service.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Imara reliable, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or stop features, and we'll give notice of important changes when we can.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for injury or loss caused by following a plan or by the services of coaches, gyms or sellers. TODO (legal review): liability wording
Apple
If you use Imara on an Apple device, these terms are between you and Terrigence Labs, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Imara or its content, and has no duty to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. We'll show the new date at the top and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
